About Sacred Shade

For as long as I can remember, my purpose was to praise, worship and serve someone outside of myself.  Be it God, my ex, my pastor, my children, a job or friends.  Back in 2008 I remember driving on I85 heading to my just over broke and I screamed out to God asking, “when am I on the receiving end of love and service?”   Shortly after that, I walked away from Christianity for deeply personal reasons. Over time, I started to question the beliefs I was taught, realizing they no longer aligned with what I felt and experienced in life. I saw too much hypocrisy and judgment within the church, and it left me feeling excluded rather than embraced. There were moments of pain, unanswered prayers, and teachings that didn’t sit right with me. As I grew, I felt the need to explore beyond the limits of those doctrines and seek a spirituality that felt true to who I am. For me, walking away wasn’t about rejecting faith altogether—it was about finding something more authentic, meaningful, and connected to my inner truth.

Fast forward to today!  I noticed a need for a clothing brand that aligns with spirituality in a way that feels inclusive and authentic, focusing on inner growth, self-awareness, and the divine within. Many religions and doctrines have found a voice through clothing, like t-shirts with scriptures, quotes, or symbols that represent their beliefs. I want to create a brand that speaks to this community, offering designs that inspire connection, empowerment, and deeper meaning. Clothing can be more than just fashion; it can reflect one’s spiritual journey and be a reminder of the truth we carry within ourselves.

With love and light,
